LOW SPEED VEHICLES STILL ALLOWED ON OCEAN CITY STREETS

An ordinance was shot down on introduction in Ocean City that would have banned modified golf carts on city streets. The police department had made the request that the city council look into the ban. The carts are legal vehicles because they have license plates, seat belts, and other state required elements. State laws requires these carts on roads that have speed limits less than 35 MPH.
