PA WILL NOT FOLLOW NEW JERSEY'S LEAD, RENDELL SAYS NO TO TAX AMNESTY

A proposal to bring additional revenue into Pennsylvania was shot down by Gov. Ed Rendell. The Governor said he didn't believe the program would work and called it a "gimmick." This news comes on the heels of an overly successful program run by New Jersey that allowed for the reinstitution of the Homestead Rebate program. The proposal was made by Republican state lawmakers, and was based of New Jersey's program.
